Since I fumbled with the install ...
I think the install info could be improved upon. Is the text valid for all versions of Delphi? Have things changed lately?
I don't often install components, and when I do I need to have instructions that I understand and can follow step by step.
Please check the install info from the help.chm when installing into Delphi/2006.

Hello Aage,
I am writing one very good PDF file for installing components. It is still in Microsoft Word format and maybe need few things to be polished, but if you want I will send it to you (I may send you on e-mail, or attach it in PM).
Sonn it will be ready for public.
Best regards

Yes, please send it as email with attachment. I will read MS Word Documents with OpenOffice, or use another PC with MS Office.
I'm very impressed with your quick answers, but I will probably have to ask some more about grid coloring (and also sorting).

Aage J.

I've downloaded the document, and loaded it into OpenOffice. The font (calibri ?) didn't render well, so I changed the fonts (in the style definitions: default, alert, and "List paragraph") to Garamond and Arial. This (calibri) may not be a problem for others.

Hello Aage,
This font is new in Office 2007 (and most probably in MS Windows Vista). I was hope that when I convert this document into PDF, font will be no more problem.
I hope that page is rendered well for you even with other font.
Best regards

After a quick read-through, here is my first comments.
1. Page 8-9
The figure showing "Package Name" and "Components" doesn't look very good.
Maybe a tree-view will be better (but this is just "looks").
2. Page 9.
- "Open package, click on Compile and then (after compiling is finished) on Install:"
Using Delphi/2006 as example, do you mean the sequence
a. Menu: File | Open (find Nxxx.dpk)
b. Menu: Project | Compile Nxxx
c. and then what ?
- "Right click on package"
Where can I right-click on the package?
3. Page 10
The table (where Nx*.bpl files reside) as helpful.
When I installed, I probably forgot to run the uninstaller and also forgot to remove files. I just renamed the old "C:\Program files\Berg" folder, and unchecked/removed packages via the menu Component|Install packages.
Pages 9-10 is important.
Including some screen-shots in the document would be great (but it does take time to do so for several Delphi versions, I know).
Regards,
Aage J.

Hello Aage,
I will try to implement your comments, but please note that this document is still in production and that need more work to be finished.
1) I have see now that when I save it in older version, table is not rendered good. When I publish it in PDF it will probably be displayed fine:
tree.gif 11.34KB 3 downloads
2) You may right click on package inside Project Menager. I will try to add more screenshots for this page.
Thank you for you comments.
Best regards
