Hello,

I last used NextGrid several years ago. I just started using it again today, but when I tried to save the grid as a text file: myGrid.SaveToTextFile('file.txt'); Delphi 10.3 gives me an error. I did a Google search and the online manuals but I cannot find anything.

There are also no demos in the ZIP I downloaded, so I can't check those to see how it's done.

Sorry to bother you with such a basic question, but I cannot save my grid as a file - the old method I tried doesn't work.

Thank you very much!

I see there have been some changes.

Do you have plans to include JSON?

This is perhaps the most popular format right now, especially for data transfer to/from a website, and of course for MongoDB.

Thanks again for your help. I love NextGrid  :D

Hi,

I think I will. It’s long due. Maybe I will not be able to use built in Delphi json creation methods but write my own for old Delphi’s.

Hi,

I am using the latest version of NextGrid and I see that NextGrid61.Serialize.SaveToJSON is now available. That's great, thank you!

I tried to use it today, but I couldn't find the .json file. I saved the grid as a CSV file to the same path as the exe file, and the CSV file was there, but when I saved it as a JSON file, the file was missing, even though I did not get any errors. Did I miss a step?

Thanks again for a fantastic product!

Hi,

Unfortunately the feature is still in development. I started on it couple of releases ago. I hope that will be finished, not for upcoming but the first next release.

NextGrid and I see that NextGrid61.Serialize.SaveToJSON

We are all looking forward to this fantastic opportunity to save in JSON format!
Boki gladly joins those waiting. But I have a couple of questions. Maybe you can help me!?
1. How to parse JCJON directly into the nextgrid table?
Can you please give some examples of what it might look like?

If you can give an example, please write two options:
1. How to parse the key into the next grid table at once?
2. How to parse an array into the next grid table at once?
**************************
Sincerely, Meow.

Hi, just following up on this.

Is JSON now available in NextGrid? I can't believe 2 years have passed already.

I'm really looking forward to using this feature.

Regards,

Trevor
