Hi emailaya
From MSDN:
ACO_FILTERPREFIXES
Do not match common prefixes, such as "www." or "http://".
You can check the definition of autocompleteoptions here:

Hi,
My guess would be that if you type google it automatically prefixes www. or http:// so matching not at the start of the text but start after the common prefixes too. I should have a look at it. Sounds interesting.
ACO_WORD_FILTER
Windows Vista.
ACO_NOPREFIXFILTERING
Windows Vista. Disable prefix filtering when displaying the autosuggest dropdown. Always display all suggestions.
Btw it's a Vista only option as it seems like word filter (my guess would be that it then shows every line containg the word you type).
I must agree, MS documentation is sparse at best!

Welcome to the forum Steven.
Well it does sound a bit confusing. If you dont want it to autocomplete then what special effect do you want?
