With NextDBGrid v5.10.40 under Delphi 2010, when I set DataAwareOptions.doBufferRecords := True but DataAwareOptions.doRetrieveRecords := False, I get an Exception once the Dataset becomes Active. In case of a ClientDataSet it's EInvalidGridOperation: 'Grid index out of range'. In case of an IBOQuery (by IBObjects) it's an Access Violation due to an invalid pointer. I'm not sure if this is expected behavior and both options need to be used together; documentation on these is scarce. If not, consider this a bug report.
doBufferRecords without doRetrieveRecords gives Exception
