Hi Boki,

you should not offer the delphi 7 version of NextGrid for free.

you should give a time-limited free use of nextgrid for all Delphi versions without the source code.

If a user is then interested, he buys a license.

For instance. I still use Delphi 7 andI could have worked with Nextgrid for free.

Because I don t understand why it is free and that I intend to upgrade Delphi in the future I bought Nextgrid component.

How many developers do work with free version of Nextgrid ?

Hello Flavsouvou,

NextGrid was free from start (it was named GridView) and I decide to leave it free for Delphi 6 and 7.

This is a small gift from me to Delphi community.

If someone want to support my work, he may buy a registered version (with other components included).

you should put forward on the homepage that it is a community : free support with a link to the forum.

and write something like :


" Join the community where we build the best grid for delphi"

- free for Delphi 7 ---> download link

- (your price) $ with free unlimited support for Delphi above ---> buy page link


and maybe you can reward the best contributors...

Thank you I will consider your idea. I only need to think where to put it.

I think that I have give back to my contributors during a time. I was try to add this contributions into official release sooner as possible.

I suggest you to modify the main image

and reduce the size of the components part on the left and put the text on the right :

and below 3 buttons :

-1 : "join for free"

-2 " download for free for Delphi 7

-3 order (your price) $ with free unlimited support for Delphi above ---> buy page link

I don t know what you sell the most but I think that the main component is NextGrid, so I suggest you to focus on it.

Hi Boki,

I'm a registered user of NextGrid, and using exclusively D7. I think D7 is still the most used version of Delphi so you are indeed missing an important part of potential buyers ! But then I don't know anything about business so I'm not good at giving advices...
