Hi Boki

Can you please tell me how Panel View looks? Did you think about Slides View maybe?

I like to notify that I have invented Slides View by myself :) Maybe I will find some other useable view :)

Oops it was indeed the Slides View from the Delphi version I like (has been a while since i used it).

Btw: Windows 7 uses slides too (Tiles it's called there). For example in My Computer to show the disk drives and free space.

Hi Boki,

I think that Views will be great feature, especially because it will open a door for new Views in future (I personally like a Icon View)

I will need to think about how to do it :)

I really liked the panels view, it was hard to get right but just looked great.

But I use mostly report view, I never used icon view (it did not fit in my apps).

In Topic: How to use the InsertRow

03 July 2011 - 09:54 PM

Hi Boki

Please forgive me if I didn't understand it correctly ;)

You need a method and property which will:
- Move content of double-clicked row into a InsertRow.

Am I correct?

I would like to use the InsertRow to edit rows (not only for adding new ones). I just do not like inplace edit together with full row select.

So i need a method to start editing a row and the InsertRow code should be smart enough to replace the row being edited when done instead of adding it to the end of the grid.

Hi Boki

I'll look into the code changes.

SecondClickEdit only seems works for the grid itself and only on cell level.

What I try to do is use the InsertRow as edit area when full row select is enabled. Ideally double or second clicking a row would copy the rows values into the InsertRow for editing. After editing the Selected Row should be replaced instead of adding a new one. The InsertRow should keep track of if it's editing a row or creating a new one. For this I could live with having to call a (Do)EditRow method on RowLevel.

I think this would be a nice addition in functionality.

Hi Boki,

New version will be 1.1.0 and it will introduce Views (First Report View, then Slides)

Sounds good!

Btw Could you also implemenent Grouping in Grid View by differently painting the Tree Column.
