Dear Users,

I have in plan to start writing a new big component. Development will be slow, but I think that component will be good.

I only want to ask for opinions which component will users want to I make:

1) NextRibbon (MS Office 2010 ribbon component)
2) NextCalendar (Outlook big calendar component (schedule))

If you have an idea how this component should be implemented you are welcome.

Any other suggestions are welcome. smile.gif

Best regards

Hi Loki,

most of the ribbon-components i know have the Office 2007-look&feel. A component in the Office2010-style would be nice!

Hello Dawn,

I agree. I think that there is no need for Office 2007 look since is Office 2010 style now introduced.

I'd like something like this http://www.shorterpa...ducts/planners/ but with "Next style". A multi-view calendar.

This is a old post do you have some new?

Boki.
i am interested in a component Planner and contacts. same as Palm and Outlook.

the problem of these programs are:

-duplicate data
-hard to import
-for clean data(duplicated) need do manually or use third party tools.
-lose data sometimes when sync with mobiles.
-Expensive for use in group (exchange)
-both programs not consider: one ppl can have 2,3 mobiles: blackberry, iphone, motorola.. and when sync in same pc lose data.

thanks

I also vote for a Calendar component, especially if it has a Gantt view. In a way, Nextsheet could be used as a "poor man's Gantt", so it shouldn't be impossible to do.

Hi,

So far, I think that I will go with Calendar. Ribbon seems to be already over-presented on market and there is a component like this in Delphi.

I vote for the scheduler component. It has to be lightweight.

Just out of curiosity, do you have already started developing the new component (the planner)?

Do you have a date for the first beta?
Can you anticipate something about the new component?

Hi,

Unfortunately I have leave work on planner and more work on NextSuite v6. I will include planner into this version of suite.

In v6 of suite I have enter with much more experience and wisdom so I hope that it will better fit users needs.

i think this is a wise move since most planners/gantts/timelines (pgt) utilize a grid (or multiline input) of some sort. plus, with the flexibility and power of nextgrid (and suites) the p/g/t would be limitless.

planners are usually assocated with timekeeping, email and scheduling, while gantts are assocated with timelines, video editing, etc.

i am looking for such a component for a video editor project i'm doing work on. but i need one with properties related to timelines, like in video editors. i looked at TMS's version but it seems much too dificult to set up. and i prefer the more flexible method that nextgrid utilizes. i hope that berg can incorporate a pgt component, either as a separate component/suite or new addition to the suites..nextinspector, nextgrid, etc.
